Ava Hager (b. 2000, Georgia) graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Sculpture in 2022. Her work focuses on themes around the human experience, the mind-body connection, domesticity, sustainability, and consumption. She creates multimedia sculptures often using wood and textiles as her main mediums with a goal to minimize wasted materials.

Ava looks for meditative acts within her work and actions that are relaxing through their repetition and motion no matter how simple or complex. These acts are therapeutic in nature, emphasize process through presence and inspire her exploration of the mental state's effect on the body.
